James Clavell once wrote, "Be now, thou, a stone against which the waves of life rush in vain." Why should any man or woman squeeze themselves dry with the impurities of life? A stone will not yield to the awful stresses of the tide, it will remain upright at attention, as forever vigilant and still as the Queen's guards. As much as I endeavor to be a stone in life, I am not.

I am human, and all the imperfections and anxieties of mankind live in me just as any other man, so I will be a sponge. The current will sway me and slash me, fill me with it's salted perfumes, but I will take it all in like pitiful orphans. Each passing day the aging of this ritual will take its toll, yet though I wither and wrinkle upon my exterior, whithin I gather wisdom.

There is wisdom in seeing, being a child awstruck with the world around, and this is who I am. I make ignorant mistakes, shake my fist at the world, and tumble backwards down the stairs with half the words I say. I try desperately to make people laugh, I silently admire the beauty of a sunset, I laugh aloud with my brother and dad, I love playing devil's advocate in conversations, and I am dumbfounded as to why anyone released from ackward adolescence would lie not only to those around them, but to themselves. I fill pages with laughable purple prose and leave behind footprints of my life in the stretches of white canvas I have painted, etched, drawn, spat, stared, dotted, and loved. I pound my fists into trees over men who beat their lovers, I sleep in far too late, I criticize far too much, I drink more milk than a calf, and I have a powerful passion for cheesecake.

This is who I am, and if you've gotten this far, you have gleaned only a stray facet reflected. Every person cannot possibly be described by pixels on a screen, and I will not try with myself or anyone else. I merely leave this tidbit of my meandering mind so that, if I'm lucky, I will impart some wisdom, however meager, or meet someone new and unique. I love unique people. Nothing is taboo in my book, it's all relative to me: carve your own tribute to life with your personality and accomplishments, and I will admire you for the art that you are. I dont know how to describe myself.. I try to do it all, and often end up with too much on my plate. But through it all I can say that I love my friends and family. My passion is working in all art forms, visual, poetic, accoustic... anything. My mind is an open door to all knowledge, and I appreciate the wisdom that sharing such knowledge can bring. I am eaisly entertained by shiney stuff, things that make noise, things you can smoke and flavored water.
